These springs owe their unique compositions to the regions geological history, where water percolates through ancient rock layers, dissolving various minerals before emerging at the surface.
The mineral-rich waters of Daylesford and Hepburn springs originate as rainwater that infilterates the ground and travels through the Ordovician bedrock aquifers beneath “the Great Diving Range”.
These aquifers consist of fractured sandstones, siltstones and mudstones, which effectively store and slowly release water over time. as the water moves through these rock layers, it dissolves minerals and salts, resulting in a mineral composition, that is filtered and delivered to our Customers, worldwide.
